Getting on lifts in Cairo is like having death wishes...
You get on lifts holding ur breath and counting the minutes which separate u from descending it safe and sound, not as a human pulp...
In the background often enough u can hear the old mechanism of the lift creak and all u can think of is:
"Please, don't...please, don't..."
